Founded by Louie Burgarello in 1972, Burgarello Alarm, Inc. specializes in burglary and fire alarm systems for residential, commercial and industrial customers. From our headquarters in Sparks, the firm also offers closed-circuit television and access systems. We also have a proprietary-owned radio networking system which ensures a non-interruptible means of signal communication. The company and the technology we sell have progressed considerably since Burgarello Alarm opened for business more than three decades ago. In the past systems were simple, single-zone alarms with limited information. Nowadays alarm systems are multizoned. We can tell just about everything-which doors or windows were opened, where intruders walked, where they left-all right from our central station. Today, Burgarello Alarm employs 50 people and serves customers throughout Nevada and California. The company's territory includes Reno, Sparks, Lake Tahoe, northern Nevada and parts of northern California. Burgarello Alarm has also made acquisitions in North and South Lake Tahoe respectively. The firm's recently remodeled facility is filled with computers that electronically receive telephone and radio signals from homes and businesses throughout the service area. Whenever an alarm sounds, the equipment instantly dispatches emergency personnel. Monitors indicate the point of origin of an alarm and whether the call is for the police or the fire department. All calls are recorded, and each signal is recorded and kept in our database for multiple years. To monitor as many accounts in the 1970's as the company does now would have required 20 operators and 8 times the space. Today, thanks to efficient, state-of-the art computers and servers, only three operators work in a space not much larger than a single office. Everything sold by Burgarello Alarm is maintained and serviced by a staff of trained professionals. All systems meet the standards of Underwriters Laboratories, the nation's largest, most influential testing ground for consumer products. In fact, Burgarello is the only locally owned and operated UL-listed central station in northern Nevada. The company also devotes time to community and industry organizations. The firm is a member of the Greater Reno-Sparks Chamber of Commerce, as well as the National Fire Protection Association, the National Fire and Burglar Alarm Association and the Better Business Bureau. Burgarello has also been appointed to a committee established to combat false-alarm problems. Burgarello Alarm has been built on the cornerstones of quality, dependability and customer service.
